Before submitting the App to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, this Privacy Policy should be hosted on a publicly accessible webpage.
2. Information We Collect
ParkHere SG is designed to help users find carpark availability, parking rates, and nearby parking options in Singapore. We do not currently require users to create an account.
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following types of information:
- Location information: your device location may be used to show nearby carparks, calculate distance from you, centre the map, and support live GPS tracking while using the App.
- Search information: search terms, selected places, and recent searches may be stored locally on your device to make the App easier to use.
- Saved or favourite carparks: carparks you save may be stored in the App experience. Current implementation may keep some saved data locally or in app state unless later changed.
- Feedback information: if you submit feedback through Google Forms or another feedback form, we may collect the information you choose to provide, such as comments, issue descriptions, screenshots, contact details, or other details included in the form.
- Device and advertising information: when real advertising is enabled, Google AdMob and related Google services may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, diagnostics, and ad interaction data according to Google’s policies.
- Technical information: the App may process basic technical information needed for app functionality, security, debugging, and performance. Dedicated analytics or crash reporting is not currently implemented, but may be added later.
3. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To show carparks near your current location or searched destination.
- To calculate approximate distance between you and carparks.
- To display live or cached carpark availability and stored/static parking rate information.
- To support map features, search results, filters, favourites, recent searches, and navigation options.
- To receive and respond to user feedback, bug reports, and support requests.
- To improve data coverage, app usability, accuracy, and reliability.
- To show advertisements through Google AdMob when the App is fully launched.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, platform, security, or operational requirements.
4. Location Data
The App uses your location to provide core parking features, including nearby carparks, distance estimates, map centering, live GPS movement, and search results based on your current position.
At this stage, the App is intended to use your current location in-app for distance, map, and search functions. We are not currently certain whether any backend logs may temporarily receive or store location-related request data through hosting, server, or API infrastructure. This should be reviewed and confirmed before launch.
You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. If you disable location access, some features may not work properly or may show less accurate results.
5. Parking Availability and Parking Rates
ParkHere SG may display live, cached, stored, or third-party parking information. Availability and rates are provided for convenience only and may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.
Users should always check official carpark signs, gantries, operators, websites, and payment terminals before parking. ParkHere SG does not guarantee that a parking space will be available or that an estimated rate is final.
6. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party and external services to provide key functions. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
- Google Maps: used for map display and navigation-related features.
- OneMap: used for Singapore place search, address search, and location lookup.
- Google AdMob: currently used in testing and intended to be used for real advertisements after launch.
- Google Forms: intended to be used for beta and post-launch feedback collection.
- Backend API: used to provide carpark availability and parking rate data to the frontend.
7. Advertising
During development and beta testing, the App may use Google AdMob test ads. When the App is fully launched, we intend to use real Google AdMob advertisements.
Google AdMob may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics, and other information required to serve, measure, and improve advertisements. Users may be able to limit ad tracking or reset advertising identifiers through device settings, subject to platform availability.
8. Feedback and Support
If you submit feedback, bug reports, or support requests, we may use the information you provide to understand the issue, respond to you, improve the App, verify missing or inaccurate carpark data, and maintain a record of product feedback.
Feedback submitted through Google Forms may be processed and stored by Google in accordance with Google’s own policies.
9. Data Storage and Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Recent searches and similar app convenience data may be stored locally on your device until you clear it, reset the App, or uninstall the App.
- Feedback and support information may be kept for as long as needed to respond, investigate issues, improve the App, maintain records, and support beta testing or launch operations.
- Advertising and third-party service data is handled according to the retention practices of the relevant third-party service.
- If analytics or crash reporting is added later, retention details should be updated in this Privacy Policy before release.
10. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose or allow processing of information in the following situations:
- To service providers that help operate the App, such as hosting, backend, maps, search, advertising, or feedback form providers.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal requests, enforcement requests, or platform requirements.
- To protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of users, the App, ReddotOS, or the public.
- In connection with a business transfer, restructuring, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information under our control against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13 years old. Users under 13 should use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
13. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law and platform settings, you may have choices and rights relating to your information, including:
- Turning location permissions on or off through your device settings.
- Clearing local app data, recent searches, or uninstalling the App.
- Contacting us to ask questions about privacy, access, correction, withdrawal of consent, or deletion requests.
- Managing advertising preferences through your device or Google settings where available.

14. International Transfers
Some third-party services used by the App may process or store information outside Singapore. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to ensure that transferred information receives a standard of protection comparable to that required under Singapore law.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new effective date. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the App, website, app store listing, or other appropriate channels.
